How neat is that?!

Essential oils are popular for health and wellness, but it can be confusing how to start. Here are tips as well as giveaway and coupon to get you started!

What is essential oil?

Essential oil is natural oils taken from plants through a process of distillation. The result is a concentrated form of the healing properties of the plant.

You can also combine essential oil with carrier oils to dilute them. Carrier oils include grapeseed oil, coconut oil, or safflower oil. However, this may not be needed with Chrislie’s oils as the ingredients mention water meaning they have been diluted to some degree.

Purposes for Essential Oils

Several oils can be useful to you in your home office. To improve memory and focus try Ylang Ylang.

Sandalwood also helps with memory and concentration.

Bergamot can reduce stress and help with relaxation. Frankincense  also helps relieve stress, along with anxiety and negative emotions. It can boost the immune system, too.

Cinnamon Bark aids in self-confidence and self-acceptance.

Need some energy or suffering a headache? Try Peppermint essential oil. It also help mental focus and have antimicrobial properties.

Clary Sage support hormonal balance and helps relieve menstrual discomfort. Frankincense helps balance hormones, also.

Cassia has antidepressant qualities, helps ease nausea and boost circulation.

Jasmine known to help with depression and enhance sexual mood. When diffused in the bedroom it can help with sleep.

How to Use Essential Oils

Because they are concentrated, you should test them with a just a drop to your skin. Chrislie recommends the bottom of foot. If the area doesn’t become irritated, then it’s okay to tab the oil on your body. For Chrislie’s oils:  Rub 1-2 drops of any oil into the palm of your hand and apply to the area of the body that needs attention. Place a few drops into a basin of warm water for a relaxing bath.

  • Essential oils work well in a air diffuser. Keep a diffuser in your home office to add oils to scent your room and aid you different ways as listed above.
  • Make a linen spray in an 8 ounce spray bottle and  40 essential oil drops. Mix and combine different oils for different scents and qualities.
  • If you’re concerned with skin sensitivity or prefer not to put the oil directly on your skin, a diffuser necklace or bracelet allows you to enjoy the fragrance of the oil without it being directly on your skin.

Chrislie‘s essential oil sets are a perfect way to start using essential oils. The 9 piece set I received included all the oils I spoke about above. They come in a pretty cloth-cover box making them a great gift idea! The set includes a card explaining each oil’s uses. Each bottle is an 0.05 ounce of oil. I like how under the screw-off lid with a second pop-up life to keep oil from spilling over the edge of the bottle. They all smell wonderful and I look forward to using them in and out of my home office. My favorite so far is the Peppermint.

Enter the great giveaway below for your chance to win a 9 piece essential oil.

Update: Congratulations to Anthony from Missouri, our winner of the giveaway!!!
