A Guide To Providing Your Child With Everything They Need

Kinesthetic, Auditory and Visual Learning For Children

February 25, 2020 Filed Under: Parenting

Although becoming a parent is a natural progression, there is much for the new mother or father to learn.

And when your child is fast approaching the day when he or she must experience early learning, your choice of childcare center is critical.

While we must always ensure that our child is in a safe and caring environment. There’s a lot more to a good childcare center than safety and security.

Kinesthetic, Auditory and Visual Learning For Children

And as a parent, you can do a lot to help your child in their early development, and with that in mind, here is some important advice for setting up the right learning environment for your son or daughter.

Observation

This the key to understanding how your child best learns, and with several key learning styles, observing the child as they interact with the world around them will help you determine the child’s preferred style of learning.

We human beings are truly unique creatures, and there are no off the shelf solutions when it comes to early learning, and it is only by observing your child that you can identify their learning preferences.

Kinesthetic Learning

If a child shows a strong tendency to be physically active, then they are a kinesthetic learner, and signs of this are the following:

  • Enjoys sports and movement
  • Has good balance and coordination
  • Prefers to experience things with their hands

If you would like some further reading on the common traits of a kinesthetic learner, there is an informative blog on the topic.

Auditory Learning

Some children like to listen, and through music and song, they can more freely express themselves. Some kids seem to take to dance naturally, and this is connected to a deep love of music.

By exploring different environments with your child, you should be able to identify their preferred learning style, and this will help you to select a suitable childcare center.

If, for example, you are in need of childcare an online search is the best place to begin your quest for a suitable care center, and this will ensure that your child has the foundation to reach their full potential.

There is also a good article that will help you to assess your child’s best learning strategies which will help you to prepare them for childcare education.

Visual Learning

Some children like to use their eyes to assess what is happening around them, and if your son or daughter likes watching TV and spends time looking at images, they are more than likely to be a visual learner.

Of course, some kids combine these learning styles and with some observation, you should be able to clearly identify where their interest lies. This is one of the first things an experienced childcarer will assess as it will help them to best understand how to guide the child through their stages of early development.

You should spend some time with your search for the right childcare center, as choosing the right institution will greatly benefit your child.

Take your time and visit any potential venue during opening times, then you can observe their system as they interact with the children, and when you find one that ticks all the boxes, you can introduce your child to an exciting new learning environment that will prepare them well for 12 years of formal education.
