I use my personal experience, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in business, and training as a life coach to get you to where you want to be in your life as a mother, wife, and, work at home woman.
I know what it’s like to juggle multiple hats as a mom. I’ve worked outside the home, too, as a teacher for missionary kids and worked in retail. I homeschooled my daughter from preschool until she graduated high school.
I live in the Memphis area of Tennessee with my husband of 34+ years and our college-age daughter. Enjoys reading, many kinds of crafts, and doing genealogy research.
About Me – Sheila
I have been working online since about 2003 when my first online business venture was a candle business. I made candles and tarts along with all the fun goodies that went along with them, and sold them all over the world. I was a huge candle nut, and after burning countless candles I bought at local stores that didn’t measure up to my expectations in the burn or scent department, it lit a fire (pun intended) under me and got my mind spinning. The first couple years were not easy, but eventually my business blossomed as did I as a crafter and business woman.
Since then I have tried my hand at many things and now have landed into the blogging world. Being a woman who initially choose to be a work at home mom so I could be there for my family now has turned into something that is more of a necessity due to some health issues I have. I do love being at home, working from home and the freedom I have, but that also comes with many struggles.
I started Today’s Work at Home Mom in about 2009 as an attempt to not only help myself learn how best to earn an income from home, but to also share what I learned with others also looking to earn from home.
There are many things one can do and the earnings are really unlimited. It takes time, and being passionate about what you do.
Looking into direct sales/MLM companies, starting your own e-store or craft business, becoming a blogger or freelance writer, or whatever you decide to do, can all be very profitable if you know how best to go about it. I hope to share with you tips that will help you get on the path to earning a part time or full time income from home.
My own journey as an entrepreneur has included owning a pet store, a consignment clothing store, a candle making business, doing direct sales, and now blogging.
I have a passion for helping others on both my blogs Living Smart Girl and Today’s Work at Home Mom.
