Becoming a virtual assistant could be the way to get started with your own business from home. It’s the perfect way to start earning money from home, even if you don’t have much experience at the moment. If you’re willing to learn, the sky’s the limit!
So, what services can you offer as a virtual assistant?
It really depends on your experience when we get started but over time as you learn more, you can start offering so many more services including high paying virtual assistant services. Over time, you’ll become an expert in an area and you then have your niche.
If you want to learn more about how to start a virtual assistant business, read this post.
Here’s a list of high paying virtual assistant services:
Social media management
This is how I got started earning money online! Offering other businesses, both local or online, social media management services.
Social media management can include managing businesses Facebook pages, Facebook groups, Instagram accounts, engagement, creating social media strategies, creating content and setting up or optimizing social accounts. In fact, if you can create the strategy, you could charge more than just managing the posts.
It’s a great way to get started and it also is usually offered on a recurring monthly retainer. This is a great way to know what you have coming in each month.

Creating websites and website management
I think this is the ultimate in high paying virtual assistant services. Creating websites is something that business owners have little to no interest in learning (not all obviously). They find it really overwhelming and they often think that it’s super complicated.
I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be!
It’s also what took my social media management business to the next level, earning $10 000/month. Website design is a service that you can charge more for and if you offer ongoing website maintenance and management, you can add a recurring monthly management fee.
What I did in my business was create a package where I created the website, set up their social media accounts, create a social media strategy, design their logos, set up their email marketing and created some content to get them started. It was a great service because it gave them so much value but it was great for me to be able to put their whole business together for them and charge a premium for doing so.

Creating bulk graphics
Whilst creating graphics may not be a high paying virtual assistant service, it can be highly streamlined to make it super time efficient.
You could charge monthly retainers where you create the graphics for social media for other businesses. Once you know that you’ll be working with the business on an ongoing basis, you can create templates. This allows you to be able to create bulk graphics in a shorts pace of time.
Pinterest management
I’ve put Pinterest management separate from social media management. I believe it’s a whole different niche and requires different skills.
If you have an interest in Pinterest, then this could be a great skill for you to offer. Not only is it another recurring management fee but it can also be highly automated. By using Tailwind you can schedule out the pins and use the time to create more fresh pins for the client.
It’s a great high paying virtual assistant service to offer!
Ebook creation
Creating ebooks for other businesses that will then go on to sell them can be a high paying service. Essentially, they will write the content and provide images, then you have the job of creating the actual ebook.
Even if you don’t have a design background, you can utilize templates that can be purchased from sites like Creative Market.
Blog writing + management
Managing blogs can take up so much time! Often blog owners want to write the post and then have someone else proof it, format it, creating graphics, find images and then ultimately publish it. This is where you step in!
This is a great service when you’re getting started, especially if you have your own blog and are really familiar with the ins and outs of the back end of websites.
If you enjoy writing, you could also write the blog posts for the blogger. It’s a great service to be able to bundle up offer a blogger. Simply start by researching keywords and offering the blogger to write the content for them.
Email marketing
This is another area that can take up so much time for the business owner. It’s also an area that totally overwhelms new business owners. If you can step in a create great emails for your clients, then you can charge top dollar for it.
As an additional service, you could create and set up email funnels. This is something that is in such high demand and something that you can charge more for. As an ongoing service, you can monitor them and tweak them to get higher open rates, click rates and conversions.
Managing ads campaigns
Ads campaigns can be seriously profitable for businesses and again it’s another area that confuses so many business owners. They have no idea where to start and are really worried about putting money into it if they’ve never done it before.
The funny thing is though, ads don’t have to be overly complicated. They can be simple and they can be fairly easy to manage. And the best part, you can charge more than regular social media management and they are also usually on a retainer basis.
If you haven’t run ads before simply offer some businesses the opportunity to have you manage their ads for free (they pay for the ad spend) and learn as much as you can. The more you learn and the better the results you get, the more you can charge.
The great thing about managing ads is that you can see exactly how your skills are benefiting the business. If you’re generating thousands more revenue for the business, you can really justify higher prices!
Logo Design
This is something that you could offer once you have a bit of experience behind you or something that you can really develop and learn about if you have a passion for design.
There are some amazing resources out there but I especially love Skillshare for learning more about design. There some great short courses there that you can take and develop your skills.
Logo design is a virtual assistant service that you could charge a premium for and often leads to more graphic design work.
Just remember for so many of these services, you don’t have to be an expert, you just have to know a bit more than the client and be willing to learn. Before you know it, you will be an expert in some areas and that’s where you can focus your services and create your own niche.
If you are wanting to learn more about becoming a virtual assistant, then I highly recommend The Horkey Handbook – 30 Days to Virtual Assistant Success. It’s the best virtual assistant course going and she shows you how to start and build your business the right way.
I hope this list of high paying virtual assistant services shows you what is possible and how you can create a good income whilst working at home with the kids.
