August 8, 2020 Filed Under: Work at Home Tips

Are there any legitimate work at home jobs? You’re not the first or the last person to ask.  You’ve decided to work from home. Now it’s time to find that legit job that will bring home the bacon.

If you’ve done any searching across the internet already you probably have been bombarded with ads of jobs wanting you to pay $49.95 a month to work for them or some hyped-up promise.

It’s discouraging when you want to start earning money as quickly as possible. Instead of throwing in the towel and giving up, learn some ways to you can find legitimate work at home job opportunities and how to spot work from home scams.

Are there really any legitimate work at home jobs?

Scams tend to get more attention than legitimate jobs and that’s where the first question arises: “Are there any legitimate work at home jobs?”

My answer is absolutely, yes there are tons of them!

It’s kind of like having to skim off the muck off the top to see the good stuff hiding underneath.

There are many good work at home jobs if you know how to look past the muck.

Companies hire people to work at home for call centers, tutoring, transcription, and too many more to list here.

Real companies of all sizes need employees to fill these positions.

They choose folks wanting to work from home because it saves them money running their business and they can find great employees from a larger pool of applicants.

How Do I find real work at home jobs?

Several helpful resources are available in your search for legitimate work at home job. Search for online communities made for work at home moms.

Websites, like this one, have job openings posted regularly.

Job boards and Craigslist also have work at home job postings, but filter through business opportunities disguised at jobs openings.

Search using words like “telecommute” “freelance” “work from home” “work at home” and also include the type of jobs you desire.

You will begin to spot the real jobs fakes by the job and company information. Research each lead. If a link to their website is not provided, search online.

Ask in the work at home forums listed earlier if you can’t find anything.

Most legitimate companies will be open about who they are, what they want in employees, and what skills, experience, and equipment is required to qualify.

There are also some great books published for Kindle readers that I have personally purchased and have in my library of resources, like these:

How do I spot work from home scams?

The term scam, when searching for a job, is used loosely to include business opportunities disguised as job opening and scams wanting to cheat you out of money or commit identity fraud.

If a job offer sounds too good to be true, then it’s probably smart to avoid it.

Red flags to watch for include offering insane income while working part-time, unclear job descriptions, offering you a job in an email that you never applied for (keep records of where you apply), and wanting an upfront to send you a kit or directory.

Legitimate Work At Home Jobs: Do They Exist?

In summary, you can find legitimate work at home jobs with no fees that let you work from your home and will pay you as an employee.

Finding one is a balance between being wise against the scams and staying positive despite them. It also requires you not to give up too easily.

It can take time before you find the ideal job from home that fits your needs, personality, and skill set.
