Work at home moms like you have discovered how to shop online and save money. You, too, may be looking for creative ways to make your money go further.
I understand completely. I’ve been a stay at home mom for many years.
Sometimes I wasn’t working or running a home business. Those months made saving money even more important. And, so I found some great ways to shop online and save money.
Shop Online and Save Money
The first thing I do is consider what I’m shopping for. Right now it’s all about back to school so let’s go with that.
That means new clothes, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies. Even if you homeschool, you’ll still have a back to school shopping season.
By shopping for clothes in season for back to school, I saved money on the big sales merchants have.
Know what you need to buy
You got to know what items are needed before you start filling up your virtual shopping cart.
Take a look at your child’s wardrobe and see what needs replacing to wear or growth spurts. Write down what they need and what sizes they are now wearing.
Look for Deals
Use apps like Honey to find great deals from different merchants. Deep discounts help you never having to pay full price again.
Look for coupons and sales by subscribing to merchant mailing lists, too. You might even be able to layer your savings of a sale + coupon code or a sale with free shipping.

Go with Quality to Save More Long Term
Quality clothing will last a longer time. You won’t need to replace it quickly. And, might even be able to hand it down to another child to wear.
Look for classic pieces that are durable and stand up to fashion trends changing.
Mix them with less expensive trendy items. This is especially true of items such as coats, boots, and jeans.

When you shop online you end up spending less money and time. You avoid impulse spending. This is especially true when shopping with kids.
You avoid all the time and stress of taking them from store to store.
Instead, you can use the money and time you saved to take your children to do something fun together as a family.
