Learn how to train as a coach with Coach Training Accelerator at Coach Training Alliance and launch your work at home career and helping others live better!

How To Become A Coach – Training Accelerator

August 8, 2020 Filed Under: Home Business Ideas

I recently got the opportunity to train as a coach with Coach Training Accelerator by Coach Training Alliance. For a few years I looked into a career in coaching.

Following my bachelor’s degree, I enrolled a life coaching program at a university.

Though some of the courses were helpful to me, I left feeling unprepared to launch my coaching business. So, upon learning about the Coach Training Accelerator course, it sparked my interest.

I one live workshop and the first lessons, I began learning things, my other courses had missed.

How To Become A Coach

If you are a good listener, enjoy helping others, and have a positive outlook on life, then coaching may be a great career for you. I love this quote from the training:

In its simplest form, coaching is a powerful conversation between a trained coach and a client who is ready and willing to focus on personal and professional growth. The best coaches are those who are just a few steps ahead of their clients carrying a big torch to light the way.

There are many options to train in coaching, depending on your focus: business coaching, life coaching, wellness coaching, or another of the many specialties.

I recommend training with an established program like those offered by Coach Training Alliance. CTA is recognized for its certification courses, small classes sizes, superb faculty, and coach mentoring.

Coach Training Accelerator Program

The Coach Training Accelerator is designed as a self-paced, self-study.  With five modules divided into 20 lessons, you can complete it in as little as 20 weeks. Plus, while you’re taking the course, you are also starting your coaching business.

Each section has hands-on activities for your practice as a coach and start getting clients.  I like how each lesson includes both written and audio, which helps me remember what I’m learning better.

Also, the lessons aren’t overly long which helped me to avoid becoming overwhelmed with new material or having to stop halfway through a lesson.

Another part that I really like about the program is how they designed it help new coaches develop their business. In my former coach program, it was heavy on concepts.

Afterward, I had a lot of knowledge but didn’t know how to apply it in a coaching business.  However, the Coach Training Accelerator covers these areas, in addition to training you with coaching skills.

In the lessons you learn:

  • How to structure constructive conversations with clients.
  • Develop powerful coaching skills.
  • Create your business plan.
  • Have access to a library of resources and a marketing toolkit.
  • Live help and personal assistance with an experienced faculty member.

Coaching is a growing a business, one 2014 study stated that coaching is a $1 billion business in the U.S. along. I suspect with the way it’s grown since then, that amount continues to grow.

Unlike counseling that focuses on dealing with a person’s past, coaching helps people to focus on their future. It’s not about targeting problems, it’s about creating and focusing on actively meeting a person’s goals.

A coach actively listens to her clients to assist them in realizing what they want to see happen in their life, their business, or relationship. Then they support them through the process of making positive steps to seeing those goals realized.

Coaches are also entrepreneurs. They are responsible for marketing their services to find clients.  And they must manage their business in order to thrive.

However, a coach has a lot of freedom. They can set their own hours and work from home. With their home business, they earn a full-time income while helping their clients through 1-to-1 meetings(online or in-person) or in groups.

How To Become A Coach – Conclusion

Overall, I was very pleased with the opportunity to be in the program. I learned a lot of coaching tips, both in coaching itself and in building a coaching business.

I would recommend to anyone who is just starting their coaching business or feel their coaching business isn’t taking off like they as planned.

Are you ready to become a coach?

Coaching is much more than a job or a side business you do from home. It’s a meaningful and rewarding career. If that’s what you’re looking for then I invite you to learn more about coach Training Accelerator.
